The Thirteenth Annual General Meeting of the "Australian Delphi User Group Inc. No A0038181F" (aka ADUG) will be held at 6:15 pm AEST on Monday 21st September 2009, at the Royal Society Hall 8 La Trobe Street Melbourne. the ordinary business of the annual general meeting shall be: (a) to confirm the minutes of the previous annual general meeting and of any general meeting held since that meeting; (b) to receive from the committee reports upon the transactions of the Association during the last preceding financial year; (c) to elect officers of the Association and the ordinary members of the committee; (d) to receive and consider the statement submitted by the Association in accordance with section 30(3) of the Act. Item (d) refers to the annual financial statements et cetera, which must be submitted by all incorporated organisations to the governing body. Current financial members of ADUG are eligible to vote and nominate for the Committee which comprises the officers of the Association, and up to five ordinary members. The officers of the Association are: President Vice-President Treasurer Secretary Nominations for the Committee may be made in writing and received by the Secretary seven days before the AGM. If there is only one nomination for a position by the cutoff date that nominee will be deemed elected without a ballot. Any positions without nominations by the cutoff date will be open to nominations at the AGM. If you wish to vote, but won't be present at the AGM, you may submit a proxy in the form prescribed in Appendix 1 to the Rules of the ADUG, accessible on the ADUG web site at the bottom of this page: http://www.adug.org.au/admin/rules.htm Proxies need to be with the secretary by 5 pm on the day before the AGM. They may be lodged by email to mailto:secretary@adug.org.au or as hard copy. Candidates are also welcome to advise the ADUG membership of their nomination and provide a brief statement of purpose to the ADUG members list (mailto:members@adug.org.au). I shall post a message to the ADUG members list six days before the AGM, advising of nominations received. Please note that ALL positions are available.
